The customer is an Italian service company that operates in the telecommunications sector ; currently it counts over 75,000 employees and a total annual turnover exceeding 25.000.000.000 € / year . The process in question is concerned essentially the ordinary and extraordinary maintenance of fixed and mobile transmission network.
By implementing this Lean Six Sigma project has managed to greatly improve the efficiency of the process ( by decreasing the processing times variability) , reduce defects and identify operating units with the best practices in order to extend these excellent performance on the rest of the national territory .
